A tour exploring the Habsburgs’ courtly festive culture. Weddings, coronations and diplomatic events have always been accompanied by music and dance,

Using original imperial furniture from the Vienna Furniture Museum – which was also used on the film set – the guided tour highlights the fascinating similarities and differences between historical reality and cinematic romanticisation.
The Sisi Trail in the permanent exhibition explores the prominent role of the furniture in the Sissi films starring Romy Schneider, in comparison to the real Empress Elisabeth.
With his three Sissi films, Ernst Marischka created a myth that inextricably links Empress Elisabeth, the film character Sissi and Romy Schneider.
In addition to the exclusive special tour, this can also be explored independently during your visit.
