The Imperial Palace Innsbruck combo ticket lets you visit both the “Maximilian I and the Rise of the Modern Age” exhibition, and the Palace’s Imperial Apartments.

The jubilee exhibition “Maximilian I and the Rise of the Modern Age” will be held from 25 May until 12 October 2019.

Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519) is not only one of the most famous Holy Roman Emperors from the House of Habsburg (Lorraine), but he also had a profound effect on Tyrol. January 12, 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of the Emperor’s death. To commemorate this occasion, Burghauptmannschaft Österreich is organising a living museum, featuring a special exhibition entitled “Maximilian I and the Rise of the Modern Age” slated to open May 24, 2019. The living museum allows a focus on aspects and topics relating to Emperor Maximilian I and his times, which will be presented in temporary exhibitions.
